A new study shows a decrease in fruits and vegetables has a link to an increase in anxiety disorders. According to the study, “For those who consumed less than 3 sources of fruits and vegetables daily, there was at least at 24% higher odds of anxiety disorder diagnosis,”
Certainly fruits and vegetables contain lots of nutrients. They have lots of antioxidants which help to neutralize free radicals. More importantly they have beneficial fiber. Good bacteria digests fiber and produce short chain fatty acids. In addition, these short chain fatty acids SCFA provide the building blocks for other chemicals.
